Pinewoods Pixie bobs is owned by Sharon Nash from County Roscommon in Ireland.
She grew up in Cornwall, UK. She loves horseback riding (English and Western) and walking with her dogs and children.  She has
diverse interests. “Anything to do with animals, nature, or the outdoors,
and on the other hand, music (anything up beat), Moto GP Super bikes, and F1 racing cars. I try to never miss a race!”

Sharon also trains, breeds and imports horses. “I breed American Quarter horses.  In the past, I have had the odd litter of kittens
from a pet/barn cat and a litter of Border Collie pups.”

Cats have not always been a part of her life and she never pictured herself becoming a cat breeder. It was Sharon who came up
with the an idea to have an international journal for Pixie-Bobs much like the American Quarter Horse Association has, “The
American Quarter Horse Journal.” A few pet owners and breeders latched on to this idea and the “International Pixie-Bob
Journal” was born!

It has been almost 3 years since she became a Pixie-Bob breeder. Sharon first heard about Pixie-Bobs through her brother,
Christopher of Salvarda Pixie-Bobs. After he brought home of these remarkable cats he too was bitten by the Pixie bug and
became a breeder.

Sharon began doing her homework. “ I did a lot of research and Pixies seemed to be like no other breed of cat. I love all animals
but for me to own a certain type or breed they have to have something unique and different.

Before Pixie-Bobs, I would not have put cats anywhere near the top of my favorite animal list. It would have been Horses first ,
with the brainy, stock working type at the top of the list. I like smart stock working dogs.  Border Collies and Australian Cattle dogs
a tie as my favorites.

Pixie-Bob is the breed of cat that fits both my love for the Quarter horse, with their power and grace in conformation, love of
people and desire to be with and work with them, and the tough wild side of the Heeler with its Dingo ancestry. I would never
wish to own a Dingo or a Bobcat, but I admire their wildness. For me the Legend cat needs no proof as I can see the bobcat in my
Pixies. The Pixie-Bob is the perfect cat for me.”

Then the planning began to start Pinewoods Pixie Bobs.

“After a huge amount of research and contacting breeders, I knew what I wanted.  I waited for the right cats with the older
bloodlines, coat patterns, and proven producing breeding line for large cats with wild faces.  I proceeded to purchase two
outstanding young females with completely different bloodlines and had them both bred before importing them knowing that I
would keep the best of the first two litters and have the makings of a great breeding program.  I hit the jackpot!

One or two Pixie-Bobs was never going to be enough for me, I have a great interest in breeding programs and a love of sharing
these wonderful cats with others.  I am very fussy about vetting the homes that my animals go to.

I am very excited about the future as the best of my breeding program is yet to come and I have had some outstanding kittens
already! I always get at least one huge male kitten from Tansy. The kittens now over a year that I decided to keep being 20 pounds
plus. In Tansy’s second litter she had a show quality male that was already over 7 pounds at 4 months old. This size is just a bonus
on top of everything else!

I love everything about all of my Pixie-Bobs, the breed is unique and so are each and every one of my Pixie bobs. I have 15 living
with me at the moment so quite the little herd.  All of them are sweet, loving, and affectionate. Some are chattier than others and
some are cheekier, but all love people and are well mannered. My biggest problem is that they all want to be with you no matter
what you’re doing and love to help. This includes the hoovering and washing.  Cleaning the bath or shower seems to bring even
more helpers along. Sadly there have been no offers to give me a day off...LOL~
Pixie-Bobs take everyone and all things in stride. I don't have any computer game addicts in my PB mob yet. Sascatoon is learning
Spanish along with my daughter from a CD.

Minnie loves to watch the TV and some of the animal programs have her glued to the box.  If you take her from the room and try to
get her to play etc., she will just go right back to her spot and sit and watch until that program has finished. Minnie also opens
doors and goes where she wishes so the main doors have to be locked. She will also let other cats in or out of a room if they are
shut in a bedroom maybe with newborn kittens. We may need to lock them if we really don't wish her to do so.

One time I popped her in the bathroom so I could take stuff in from the car without worrying about her getting out on the road.
When I came to open the door she had locked it with the key from the inside, the key was in the lock, so I could not use another
key.  The window was also locked and lucky for all of us my son managed to turn the end of the key a little with my tweezers and
knock it out so we could use a second key to unlock the door.

All my cats love to be picked up and cuddled and most must have been parrots in a past life because they love to perch on your
shoulder.

Lilly loves to open the tumble dryer and let her sister Molly in and then shuts the door. Lucky for Molly it cannot be put on again
by Lilly and we check before resetting anything. The odd thing is that Lilly has never let her sister back out.  Molly will knock on
the door to be let out or we will miss her and go looking for her.

Sascatoon will stop you and sit up on her haunches and beg like a dog if she wants something.  We did not teach her to do this
and she does not do it if asked.  She only does it when she wants something. Her mother is a Legend cat and it seems mom also
does this. Sascatoon also opens her front paw wide and waves. I have noticed one of the male kittens we have now from
Jasmine, Sascatoon’s daughter, is also begging and waving.  It must be passed down because he has never been with Sascatoon
to learn this. I really could sit here and write a book on these wonderful cats and I am sure most breeders can, too.  I am going to
stop here but I will try to up date my website shortly.”

Right now, Sharon is the only Pixie-Bob breeder in Ireland. Unfortunately there aren’t many shows there but she plans on going to
shows in the UK when possible. Those of you looking to be owned by a Pixie-Bob, Sharon has some kittens available now and two
more litters are due in August!
