I would like to share a little story and some photos about my very first "legend cat", Bobkitty, and the way life took us on a wonderful journey
of the Pixie-Bob.
Many years ago I was given a little Manx kitten for Mother's Day. I loved this little cat even though she was never very lovable or cuddly. I
named her Chewla (I have no idea why). A little while after I got her, I decided that Chewla needed a companion. Off we went to look at a
kitten listed in the Denver paper as a "Manx".
We arrived at a trailer house filled with too many cats to count. We fell in love with this beautiful little guy that couldn't have been more than 6
weeks old. He had a fantastic short tail and did not look like a Manx at all.
We discovered a book called "Legacy Of the Cat" by Stephens/Yamazaki. Within the book we found the answer to this kitten's identity. He
was a Pixie-Bob. This is the story of Bobkitty, a sweet cat that acted more like a dog than a cat, except for his hunting desires.
We lost Bobkitty, he crossed over the Rainboy Bridge, after having him only 4 years. My heart was broken. I knew I needed another
Pixie-Bob. I realized that no one could take his place, but needed to fill the void in our home. I looked at all the other Pixie-Bobs on the
internet and found the perfect kitten. The breeder said she had one just like what I was looking for and she really did.
I drove to her cattery and brought that beautiful baby home. I had a very hard time not calling him Bobkitty. I decided to name him Mountain
Mac, or Mackie. Mackie grew up to be a big gorgeous boy and I couldn't resist the disire to see if I could reproduce another one like him.
Indeed I did!!! I now have Mackie, his son, Moose, his daughter, Kinzie and another daughter, Dehlila. the four of them look so much alike
that I have a hard time telling them apart from behind. When they turn around I can tell Mackie because he has a big ruff around his neck.
Moose has a great manly face with the large nose. Kenzie has her darling crossed eyes. Oh, and then there is Dehila, she has a long tail, but
is extreamly gorgeous!
The group of Mackie look-a-likes are so much fun. They all play together, watch the birds together and never ever have a cross moment.
There are many races and chases around the house.
Here are the photos of my story.
